Mengxue (Michelle) Zhang

Owner and Instructor

Mengxue Zhang was born in Shenyang, China and started to learn about eurythmics and dancing at age of 4. She started at Sport Elementary School and went to Professional Dance Academy. She participated in various dance competitions, winning numerous awards and scholarships while she was pursuing her undergraduate degree. During the school, she won the third prize of the 10th National Dance Competition, the 14th Art and Culture Competition Best Song and Dance Drama Award, the honorary title of Outstanding Graduate of Shenyang Conservatory of Music, and the third "Lu Yi Cup" Dance Competition in Liaoning Province. Outstanding Dance Performance Award, Honorary Title of Outstanding Graduate of Shenyang Conservatory of Music. When she graduated from Shenyang Conservatory of Music in Classical Dance Performance and Education, she joined dance companies and performed many shows later became a dance teacher in China. Her students have participated in major performances on CCTV and provincial TV stations in China. In 2017, she was awarded the honorary title of Excellent Art Instructor in the Ninth "Emotional China" National Juvenile Culture and Art Festival for directing dances "Happiness in a Hall", "Miao Dolls Love Embroidery", and "Dancing with Happy Drums". She moved to Colorado in 2018 and later opened a dance studio. She was focused on Chinese community in Colorado before and well-known and well-liked by all her Chinese students. She was invited to participated in Ms. Butterfly Musical with Colorado Ballet School and WonderBound. Her students won four highest awards in KAR Dance Competition in Denver in 2020. 

Katie

Administrator and Teaching Assistant

Katie was graduated with her BSBA degree and MS degree from Leeds School of Business.  She started to learn about dancing since she was young. She has passion about dancing and loves to watch dancing and musical performances. She is Michelle's student, and she is happy to take her new role as an administrator and TA in Little Snow Dance Studio.
